Cruises may be abbreviated, altered or cancelled, if in the judgement of the Captain, conditions are not conducive to the safe operations. Passengers, who by their actions, endanger themselves, other passengers, crew members, or the vessel, will be subject to arrest.

Cancellation Policy

Due to Covid-19 our cancellation policy offers a 100% credit for your cruise purchase with no expiration date. We will also allow Gift Certificates to be transferred to another party or used on another similar trip in the future.

Cruise Itinerary

DAY ONE

Board the TWILIGHT at 7:45 am in LeClaire, Iowa. We will have an expanded continental breakfast waiting for you. At 8am, we depart north on our journey.

Our Captain will be your guide to the wildlife, valley landscapes and historic river towns. Enjoy live entertainment, games, two snacks, lunch and dinner before arriving in historic Dubuque, Iowa.
Accommodations are at the riverfront Grand Harbor Resort, where your luggage will be waiting in your room. The evening is yours to enjoy and explore the city of 5 flags; France, Spain, Great Britain, Napoleon and USA.

DAY TWO

Start your day with breakfast at Tony Roma’s in the resort. Spend the morning, using our complimentary shuttle, exploring Dubuque’s history, architecture, shopping and other attractions.

Admission is included to Iowa’s #1 attraction, the must-see Smithsonian-accredited National Mississippi River Museum & Aquarium.

Reboard the Twilight at 11am and depart at 11:30 am for our return journey. Take in the sites and listen to the Captain’s narration that you missed on Day 1. Enjoy lunch and dinner served at your table. We arrive back in Le Claire at approximately 6-6:30 pm.

Cancellation Policy

Two-day cruises: Less than 30 days notice of cancellation: $100 /person not refunded. – Less than 72 hours: 50% refund. – Less than 24 hours notice, no shows or late arrivals no refunds. If your plans change prior to 72 hours before departure we will allow you to reschedule, based upon availability. An inconvenience fee of up to 50% of the cruise value will be charged for passengers who fail to show up for their scheduled cruise.

 

*Prices listed are per person. You may have between 2 and 4 adults share the same room at the per person Double Occupancy rate. The overnight accommodations in Dubuque come standard with two double beds in each room. Rooms with one King size bed can be requested upon availability.

Refunds for Cancellations

The Riverboat Twilight will make every accommodation possible to stay on schedule, however, will not be responsible for cruise delays that are beyond their control.

The Twilight Menu

Our Chef aboard the TWILIGHT takes pride in maintaining the river’s grand tradition of sumptuous meals. A continental breakfast awaits you upon boarding the boat in Le Claire. Choose from a variety of sweet rolls, fruits and beverages as the TWILIGHT prepares to get underway.

Lunch and dinner meals will be served to you at your reserved table by our friendly crew. Entrees such as chicken, Iowa Pulled pork and Tender roast beef , along with all the trimmings, are prepared fresh daily by our chef and kitchen staff. To finish your meal, enjoy a specialty dessert, a delicious cup of coffee and a leisurely stroll along the deck.

Should you suffer from hunger pangs between meals, never fear. Our morning and afternoon snacks will keep hunger at bay. Complimentary coffee, iced tea and lemonade are always available.

Special Diets: We are best prepared when you notify us in advance of any special dietary needs. Our chef can accommodate most special diets (ex: diabetic, vegan/vegetarian and gluten free) when given at least 48 hours notice. We cannot guarantee the availability of particular foods once the boat has left the dock.

General Information

This cruise requires moderate walking and stair climbing ability. Please notify us in advance if you have any physical limitations or dietary restrictions.

Dress: The cruise is casual so sportswear is most appropriate. Comfortable shoes are a good idea.

Baggage: We allow one medium-size piece of luggage and a carry-on bag per passenger. We will take the luggage from you at the boarding point; it will be taken by van to Grand Harbor Resort. Carry-on bags should be limited to medication or other essential items needed during the day. Sorry, no coolers allowed.

Parking: Adequate, free overnight parking is available at our boat dock in Le Claire. This parking is well lit and routinely patrolled by the local police.

AM Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens & Eagle Point Park

$40 per person – Duration: Approximately 3 hours

Join us for a self-guided tour at two of Dubuque’s most picturesque spots.

The Dubuque Arboretum and Botanical Gardens have been a part of the Dubuque community since 1980. Quietly nestled on the city’s northwest side and featuring more than 60 types of gardens (including Rose, Hosta, English, Japanese, Herb and more), the grounds continue to grow and expand every year. Completely volunteer created and maintained, these floral displays will wow any nature lover! Be sure to walk by the koi pond for some pictures, too!

Eagle Point Park is a 164 acre public park, located in the northeast corner of the city. Eagle Point is mostly situated on a bluff that overlooks the Mississippi River and Lock and Dam #11. The park features stunning views of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin! Watch boat traffic move through the lock, see the goldfish pond, and keep your eye out for bald eagles, too!

Dubuque History Tour

$40 per person – Duration: Approximately 2 hours

Departs from Grand Harbor at 6:30pm

Join us for this guided two-hour tour of Iowa’s oldest city. You’ll see over 20 historic landmarks, including stops at Julien Dubuque’s gravesite and Eagle Point Park. You’ll see some of the best sites of the tri-state area including a view of Iowa, Illinois, and Wisconsin… all from one spot!

Points of interest include:

  • Julien Dubuque’s gravesite — You’ll see the gravesite of the founder of the city of Dubuque.
  • Fourth Street Elevator — You’ll see one of the shortest and steepest railways in the world.
  • Eagle Point Park — One of the most breathtaking views of the tri-state area.
  • The Shot Tower — A 120 foot Civil War structure used to make ammunition.

Whether you’re a fan of the 1989 movie “Field of Dreams” or simply a baseball lover, this is an opportunity to see one of Iowa’s most iconic movie sites. You will have the opportunity to hit some balls, play catch, and run the bases. Meet a ghost player and have your photo taken with him!

 You can sit in the stands to watch the fun or visit their gift shop, loaded with baseball and movie memorabilia.

Whether you’re a fan of the 1989 movie “Field of Dreams” or simply a baseball lover, this is an opportunity to see one of Iowa’s most iconic movie sites. You will have the opportunity to hit some balls, play catch, and run the bases. Meet a ghost player and have your photo taken with him!

You can sit in the stands to watch the fun or visit their gift shop, loaded with baseball and movie memorabilia. 

This upgraded experience features a guided 1/2 hour tour of the inside of the Kinsella house used in the “Field of Dreams” movie. You’ll see props used by Kevin Costner and get to experience the views of the field from the bay window of the house. Guests who purchase this package will also receive a commemorative pin, swag bag and magnet from Field of Dreams.
