Captain DK has been a vital part of the Riverboat Twilight since 2013—and there’s truly nothing she can’t do!
Over the years, DK has become more than a team member—she’s family. As a valued part of the Stier family, she contributes year-round to a wide range of projects, both on the Twilight and beyond.
During the off-season, Captain DK made time to recharge and create some special memories. When we asked for her top three from this winter, she shared:
- Visiting her brother’s family in California—and meeting her niece for the very first time.
- Spending quality time working on art projects with her mom.
- Renovating her home’s entryway with a tin ceiling, fun wallpaper, and improved storage.
We truly don’t know what we’d do without her. DK, we appreciate your hard work, your pep talks, and your vibrant spirit more than words can say. We’re so lucky to have you as part of our family!
Cosplay is short for costume play and is where attendees get together dressed as characters from movies, TV shows, comics, etc. Their love for cosplay first started with the show The Walking Dead.
Their most recent trip took them to C2E2 in Chicago where Carrie served on a panel with other women from the cosplay community.
Carrie has cosplayed as Lady Olenna, Mon Mothma, the Night King, a Bene Gesserit, Ms. Cobel, and more! Plus, all of her costumes are handmade in her she-shed. Next time you see her, be sure to ask what her next cosplay costume will be!
