Community flag design contest for the Riverboat Twilight.
Design will appear on the new Flag in 2021.
Flag Dimension
Be Creative
• Square, Rectangular, Pendant Shaped, possibly two points vs one? Let your design drive the flag shape!
• Flag will be approximately 2′ Tall x 7′ wide

Contest Details
• You may submit up to two designs, but they must be submitted as separate entries.
• Your design must be wholly original. By submitting a design you are guaranteeing that you hold rights to everything in it, and that it does not contain any copyrighted material, including graphics, images or copy found on the Internet or licensed materials.
Designs will be judged on the following criteria:
• Concept/originality
• Flag design should be eye-catching, not complicated but design driven.
• Design objectives are to create an extended icon for the Riverboat Twilight that quickly associates the design with our river cruise brand experience.
• Unique and visible from a reasonable distance.
• Completeness of design – must be ready for print
• Feasibility, must be easy to reproduce
- Design submission should be saved to 300 dpi to produce a quality output. Acceptable files are high resolution JPG, PDF, AI and EPS files.
- If you win, you will be required to provide the original design in a high-res format that is compatible with Photoshop, Illustrator or another professional design program.
- The Riverboat Twilight is the operating name of the Scales Mound Packet Company and does business as River Cruises. You may use any variation on these names or just one based on your design.
- All entries should be submitted via the registration form below.
- Must be 16 years or older to submit. If you are under 16 it must be submitted on behalf of parent or guardian.
- The Riverboat Twilight will have all printing rights to the winning design. By submitting you agree that if your design wins, it can be used by the Riverboat Twilight, the Scales Mound Packet Company and River Cruises on other promotional items, including the website and marketing and public relations materials.
- The winner and design will be recognized on marketing materials associated with the Riverboat Twilight, Scales Mound Packet Company and River Cruises and on social media channels.
- Contest begins Wednesday, February 17th
- You must submit your design by midnight CST, Wednesday, March 31st, 2021
- A private panel of design professionals, marketing professionals and the operators of the Riverboat Twilight, Scales Mound Packet Company and River Cruises will judge entries.
- The winner will be notified by email at the close of the voting period, via the information provided on the entry form.
Please note that the Riverboat Twilight reserves the right to make adjustments to the winning design.
At the sole discretion of the Riverboat Twilight, disqualification, forfeiture and the selection of an alternate winner may result from any of the following:
• Winner’s failure to respond to notification within seven (7) business days after its transmission;
• The return of an email notification as undeliverable after three (3) attempts; winner’s failure to provide original design files; winner’s failure to execute and return a release form.
• Upon contacting a winner and determining that they have met all eligibility requirements of the contest, such individual will be declared the “winner” of the contest via marketing communications and social media channels.
• Riverboat Twilight, The Scales Mound Packet Company and River Cruises staff members are not eligible to enter.
• By submitting you are agreeing to all contest rules.
